J'accuse of September 5, 2025, on the flotilla and the numbing of conscience that characterizes the West today

One thing comes to mind when reflecting on the ethical, civic, and idealistic value of this great initiative that gave rise to the flotilla, with the aim of alleviating the suffering of a Palestinian population that is enduring, bin front of the eyes of the international community, one of the most terrible genocides ever committed by the Israeli occupation army: it is the finest initiative in the fight for democracy and respect for human rights ever undertaken by Western civil society, and it is also a movement of dissent against the very Western governments that are politically and militarily supporting the Israeli army that is perpetrating the genocide. One could describe what is happening as a parody of these same democracies, which on the one hand pretend to be democracies, now praising pluralism and freedom, now tolerance and equality (which no longer exist), while on the other hand arming the hands of executioners (whom they create everywhere) to defend their strategic interests, to crush every hotbed of dissent and opposition. This is what happened in Egypt with the coup against democratically elected President Mohamed Morsi, even earlier in Iraq where a president like Saddam was hanged by hooded men, then in Libya and Syria. Everywhere, stratagems and means are being used to crush and erase all dissent, calling it terrorism when it is not, or simply Islamic terrorists, as if Islam itself had been reduced to a mere religion of terrorism. Petrodollars and Western intelligence agencies have often created terrorist networks and terrorist waves with instrumental political goals, fueling chaos and destabilization that ultimately allow the infiltration and collapse of states. These terrorist methods have become standard practice for both Western and well-coordinated intelligence agencies in African and Middle Eastern countries. Let's take just one example, returning to the topic of aid and the flotilla. Why has General Sisi's Egypt closed the Rafah crossing and is not allowing aid in? Indeed, would the blockade of the Palestinian population end immediately if the Egyptian army stopped collaborating with the genocidal Israeli army? What happened to Egyptian civil society and the opposition parties? Does democracy exist in this country? It's a horror! Another parody of African and Arab pseudo-democracy, where everyone cheers the dictator worse than in North Korea. And what does the West have to say about this dictatorship? All right! They're the ones who put Sisi in power, and they're the ones who aborted the democratic process, because the West isn't interested in democracy in these countries, but rather in Israel's security and ensuring the geopolitical balance that suits it. President Putin said so in his speech on February 21, 2022, before launching the special operation in Ukraine: "The end to which Gaddafi was subjected is shameful, and NATO had no right to destabilize a sovereign country like Libya. The model of the intervention in Libya was also applied in other Arab countries with petrodollars from the Gulf countries, and it was they who also financed subsequent wars in the Middle East for absurd and counterproductive hegemonic plans that only benefit Israel and divide the torn Islamic world. Let's now return to the flotilla: beautiful as a garden by the sea, a constellation of hope en route to the hell of Gaza. The revolutionary poet called them: the flowers of the sea. Indeed, they are so, to the extent of the great mission they have undertaken, even at the cost of clashing with the ogres who seek to destroy with bombs and hunger a defenseless and tired civilian population, I would say dying in front of the helpless eyes of the community of peoples and nations. So where is the democracy so vaunted by the West? In truth, democracy has transformed into something that no longer represents the people but the powerful, those who today have decided on and support genocide. It is for this reason that the peoples of the West, starting with the flotilla, and of all the earth are now called to rise up against the executioners and those who support terror and dictatorships throughout the world. We start from the sea with the flotilla and we will reach the highest peaks, and it will be our great Revolution.
