The rebellious voice

Berthe Morissot, young girl with cage

Beautiful season, if I were your shadow!

I would follow you even to infinity

With my splendor and my ruins

Of a great love that will surprise

Of your light, never tarnished

How I love you, ephemeral summer!

When, under the influence of your perfumes

You rock me like a raft on the open sea

Feeding on boundless azure

Rowing with happiness, crashing like thunder

How I love you when the twilight

Spread out across the beloved horizons

Throws its beautiful colors and rocks

Of its paintings that are the preambles

Telling that the next day will be pleasant

How I love you when in my mind

Verses spring up like breezes

Consoling me with my love that cries out

Will you return one day with the flowery dream?

And your beautiful voice that sings rebelliously
